About Gurukul
‘Gurukul’ is an institution dedicated to holistic development and upbringing of economically underprivileged children, operated under the aegis of Navnirman.
We admit young school-going boys in our institution with two simple criteria:
1.Children should come from an economically backward background without any consideration for their caste, creed or location and
2.
Children and their relatives should demonstrate enthusiasm and initiative for all-round education of the child.
How do we take care of our wards?
Besides taking care of food, clothing and shelter, during their formative years, our wards are exposed to various initiatives and programs such as
1. They attend the village school, thereby ensuring education together with continuing social integration
2. Physical and mental sports such as cricket, kabaddi, chess, carrom etc.
3. Outlet for their extracurricular talent such as drawing and painting, poetry, gardening etc.
4. Annual excursions to various locations in Maharashtra
5. Teaching social and cultural values through Diwali celebrations and Guru Purnima festival.
